The book folloIn the 2023 German Red Dot Design Awards, THE STORY OF SUGAR HOUSE—a collaborative project by Yangshuo Sugar House, painter Liu Chuanhong, and designer Zhou Shu—won the Best of the Best award in the Brands & Communication Design category.

ws a chronological narrative, comprehensively documenting the history of Yangshuo Sugar House and its artistic transformation. It includes archival materials from the old sugar factory’s historical period, detailed on-site photographs and images from various renovation phases, as well as in-depth profiles of the architects involved in restoring the heritage structures and designing the new buildings. The book also features authentic records of related exhibitions.

In 2022, the SUGAR HOUSE YANGSHUO was awarded the iF Design Award (in the Communication category). Produced by Yangshuo Sugar House owners Yang Xiaodong and Yang Jingqiang, and curated/designed by renowned designer He Jianping.
